Specializing in glass artistry: Large public art projects and individual pieces including full design, fabrication and installation.

Feather's vision as an artist reflects an interest in community issues and in creating images that focus on the character of the people who use a site whether it is a historical, cultural reference or playful images that develop from conversations and interaction. The result is a site integrated art piece that offers context and significance, making them places of community interest and pride.

In using techniques that she has developed over the past twenty years, the art work includes elements of deeply sand carved glass that offer a variety of tactile qualities and light refraction, and a skillful mix of paint, mixed media, metal, collage and photographs. They are colorfully rich, abstractly textured and conceptually thoughtful.

Durability, maintenance and safety are always an important consideration in public art projects and her work respects the requirements of a site specific piece. Details such as mounting the glasswork, design development and technical details are carefully assessed. A capability for working with architectural plans, creating and meeting budget guidelines, timelines and all inclusive project descriptions in addition to collaboration with the building architect, project manager, and designers is reflected in her experience as an artist in business.
